Famous comedian Raju Srivastava is no longer present among us. He breathed his last at Delhi’s AIIMS on Wednesday morning. The person who made the whole world laugh, left everyone crying and left behind only his best memories.
Just as Raju Srivastava was talented, his daughter Antara Srivastava also achieved a lot of fame. Antara Srivastava was awarded the National Brewery Award in 2006 by the then President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
Antara Srivastava was awarded the National Brewery Award at the age of just 12. There is an interesting anecdote behind the award being given, which one cannot live without praising Antara.
Actually, when Antara was 12 years old, thieves entered her house. Antara had told about the incident that the thieves had guns, but still showing courage, she went to the bedroom and called the father and the police for help. Antara did not stop there, but after that she gave voice to the watchman of the building from the window of her room. The watchman saved his mother from the thieves with the help of the police.
Received gallantry award in 2066
Antara Srivastava has been awarded the National Brewery Award in the year 2006 for her bravery and courage. Antara was honored by the then President of the country, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Narrating this anecdote, Antara had said that “that ten minute incident had completely changed me”.
Antara’s relationship with the film industry
Antara Srivastava is associated with the film industry and has worked as an assistant producer and director in Flying Dream Entertainment Pvt Ltd. Antara started working as an assistant producer and director in 2013. His films include ‘Fullu’, ‘Paltan’, ‘The Job’, ‘Pataakha’ and ‘Speed Dial’.
