Tandav web series insulting Lord Shiv, hurting Hindu sentiments. There are 59.5K tweets that have been shared on the microblogging site. Twitterati has blamed the show’s creators for allegedly “mocking” the Hindu gods through Tandav, and has therefore labeled it an “anti-Hindu web series.”
Saif Ali Khan will be seen playing the lead role of a politician, named Samar Pratap Singh. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub discusses the role of Shiva Shekhar, a student at a Delhi-based university called UNV. Dimple Kapadia will be seen playing the role of Anuradha Kishore.
Tandav is a nine-part series directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, which marks his digital debut. He is known for directing films such as Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan, and Bharat. The series, which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on January 15.
