The Bihar government has recommended an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Sushant’s family on Tuesday made a formal request to the Bihar government through their lawyer Vikas Singh for a CBI investigation to be ordered in the case.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said: “The DGP spoke to Sushant Singh Rajput’s father this morning and gave his consent to the CBI investigation. So now, we are recommending a CBI investigation into the matter.”

He added that he spoke to Sushant’s father and that his family does not want the police to investigate the case and that CBI asks him.
The Bihar police started their investigation but did not obtain the cooperation of the Mumbai police. Bihar IPS Vinay Tiwari was also quarantined despite proving prior information of his arrival. Today we only have the consent of the family, so a CBI investigation will be conducted.
As soon as Sushant’s father filed an FIR in the case, the Bihar police began their investigation but did not obtain the cooperation of the Mumbai police.
