Talking to the paparazzi after seeing the movie, Hema Malini said, “Had seen Gadar 2. It felt so good. The movie was very entertaining as I expected. The 70s and 80s are shown. Anil Sharma has directed it beautifully.”
Hema Malini also appreciated the acting of stepdaughter Sunny Deol. “Sunny has done a very good job in ‘Gadar 2’. Utkarsh Sharma also acted very well and the new girl (Simrat Kaur) is also very good. After watching the movie, the patriotism one should have toward the country is there. Finally, the story of brotherhood with Muslims is also shown. This is a good message for India and Pakistan”, said Hema Malini.
