Westworld: The actor, who played Teddy Flood in the first and second outings of the dystopian sci-fi drama, left in 2018 but made a surprise appearance at the HBO show’s ATX TV Festival panel this weekend.
He joined stars Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Hemsworth, Angela Sarafyan, and Aurora Perrineau, as well as co-creator and executive producer Lisa Joy on the panel to announce his return.
“Sometimes you have to go away to come back,” Marsden said at the panel (via Variety). “We learn to speak cryptically on this show.
“This has been 7 years of our show and yeah, it’s an amazing thing to be a part of and see where the story goes. From the beginning, I didn’t know where it was all gonna go but I’m glad to see it now.”
The heads of Westworld recently released a new trailer for the fourth season. You can see for yourself above, and it shows Wood and others in the first images from the upcoming season.
Also, is it confirmed that he will return for season 4? Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, Aaron Paul, and Tessa Thompson. Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose will join them in a mysterious recurring role, reports TVLine.
