Rishabh Shetty’s ‘Kantara’ is being talked about strongly. The film has broken many box office records so far. The film has so far crossed the 200 crore mark worldwide. This is the third Kannada movie to earn so much . Kannada movie Kantara is getting a strong response in Karnataka. But apart from that, the film has created a sensation in other parts of the country as well.
‘Kantara’ has given good competition to both KGF-Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. Hindi and Telugu versions are also getting good response.
As of October 24, Kantara has grossed Rs 211 crore worldwide. The film grossed Rs 196.95 crore from India. While the Hindi dub version of these movies earned Rs 24 crore and the Telugu version earned Rs 23 crore. The film earned that much in just ten days after its release.
‘Kantara’ is third in the list of highest grossing Kannada films at the box office. KGF-Chapter 2 (Rs. 1207 Crores) and KGF-Chapter 1 (Rs. 250 Crores) are at the first position. Kantara continues to do well at the box office. Diwali holidays have benefited the film well.
However, Kantara has overtaken KGF in the list of most viewed films. On 24 October, Kantara sold 77 lakh tickets in Karnataka. Whereas 75 lakh tickets of KGF 2 and 72 lakh tickets of KGF 1 were sold.
Kantara is currently ranked eighth in the list of highest grossing films of the year so far. The list includes KGF 2, RRR, Ponniyin Selvan 1, Brahmastra, Vikram, The Kashmir Files and Bhul Bhulaiya 2 in the top seven.
