Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat is counted among the bold actresses. We all have seen the havoc of her boldness in the movie ‘Murder’. A few days ago, Mallika made a big revelation about the film industry in an interview. She has accused the film industry and a group of media that she was psychologically harassed by them. And said, “These people used to focus only on her body and glamour, nobody said anything about her acting”.
In an interview given to a website, the actress talked about the different roles she has played in the last 20 years. She says, “Earlier actresses used to be shown very well. Sati-Savitri used to act in those movies with very simple nature. Then came vamps, a type of villain. There were only two such types of character lines for actresses then. The change that can be seen now gives women the experience of living like a woman in real life. She looks happy or sad. Today, actresses in cinema are seen making mistakes, but despite doing all this, the audience holds such characters in their heads.
Mallika compared her character in ‘Murder’ to Deepika’s role in ‘Gahraiyan’. Mallika added, “Actresses are very confident about their figure. Actresses’ figures were all the rage when I did ‘Murder’. Back then, people expressed themselves in many different ways, and talked a lot about kisses and bikinis. I did what Deepika did in ‘Gahraiya’ 15 years ago, but then people were very narrow-minded.” She further said, “I was mentally tortured by some people in the Bollywood industry and a group of media at that time. They only talked about my body and glamour, not a single word about my acting. I have acted in ‘Dasavataram’, ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects, ‘Welcome’, but no one ever talked about my acting.”
Talking about Mallika Sherawat’s movies, she will soon be seen in ‘Rk/RKAY’. She has written and directed the movie. Kubra Sait, Ranveer Shorey, Manu Rishi Chadha will also be seen in the lead roles in this movie. It is a comedy-drama and is slated to release on July 22. Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Shamshera’ is also releasing on the same day to compete with this film at the box office
