My Name season 2: My Name is a South Korean crime thriller series that stars Nevertheless‘s Han So-hee, Park Hee-soon, Ahn Bo-Hyun, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-Joo, Chang Ryul, and Yoon Kyung-ho.
The latest series to join Netflix’s slate of original Korean TV is “My Name,” which was added to the streaming service on October 15. Its first season consists of eight roughly hour-long episodes in total.
The series chronicles a young woman named Ji-u Yun (So-hee Han) who tries to avenge the murder of her father. To do so, she enlists the help of the illicit drug dealer Choi Mu-jin (Park Hee-soon), who forces her to go undercover to the Narcotics branch of the local police in exchange for her help.
Season 1 of My Name premiered on October 15, 2021, worldwide on Netflix. The first season includes eight episodes with run times ranging from 45 minutes to about an hour each. Let us now consider the possibilities of a sophomore season.
My Name season 2 release date
At the time of writing, My Name has not been renewed for season 2 by either Netflix or Studio Santa Claus Entertainment, the production company behind the epic K-drama.
However, our best prediction is that season 2 will be released on Netflix in fall 2022.
My Name Season 2 Cast
In the first season, we will have Han So-hee as Yoon Ji-woo, the long-suffering girl who will take revenge, Park Hee-soon as Choi Moo-jin, Ahn Bo-Hyun as Jeon Pil-do, Kim Sang-ho as Cha Gi-ho, Lee Hak-Joo as Jung Tae-Joo, Chang Ryul as Do Gang-Jae, Rich Ting as Mu-jin Choi, and Yull Jang as Gang-Jae Do.
No official announcement has been made regarding the cast changes in the upcoming season, but So-hee Han will reprise her central role as Yoon Jiwoo in all likelihood. Hee-soon Park’s character, Choi Mujin, probably dies at the end of the first season.
My Name Season 2 Plot
The entire plot of the series was for Jiwoo to get revenge for her father’s murder and to resolve the mystery surrounding his death.
The first season ends on a thoughtful note as the vision turns inward. After learning the truth about Jiwoo’s identity, Pildo takes her to the beach house.
Additionally, series star So-hee Han is yet to be confirmed to be a part of any future productions, leaving her schedule open for more “My Name.”
