Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, based on the life of space scientist Nambi Narayan, worked wonders on its second day of release. On Saturday, the movie got nearly as much as the Hindi version alone, as much as the movie on Friday. According to preliminary numbers, the set for “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect” saw a 100 percent rise on Saturday. The filmmakers are expecting, Sunday, the film’s set to be even better than the past two days. Meanwhile, the film’s makers began speaking to film distribution company UFO Movies after it emerged that posters for the film had not been installed in many North Indian theaters.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect earned Rs 75 lakh in Tamil, Rs 90 in Hindi, and Rs 4 lakh in Malayalam on the first day. On the other hand, on Saturday, the second day of its release, the film earned Rs 1.60 crore in Hindi alone. The Tamil version of the film is also expected to earn approximately Rs 1.25 crore as per preliminary figures. According to preliminary figures, the film’s second-day set net may remain above Rs 3 crore.
Journalist and Trade Analyst Himesh Mankad shared Saturday’s collection of Rocketry on Twitter and wrote, “#Rocketry (Indian) shows 65% jump on Saturday. Although the total number is still low, the jump in % is good. Friday: 75 Lakh, Saturday: Rs 1.25 crores. Total: 2.00 crores.”
