Two accused who shot dead famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewal in broad daylight with 30 bullets have died in an encounter near Amritsar. Police officials said that Jagrup Singh Rupa and Manpreet Singh alias Mannu Kusa were killed in this encounter. The anti-gangster task force of the Punjab police department tried to nab two gangsters who were suspected in the murder case of Singer Moosewala. They tried to run away and hid in an area. The police surrounded the area and opened fire. The police started firing back

The encounter took place in Bhakna Kalan village near the Attari border. The police received intelligence that the assailants were hiding in a bungalow in the village. Police took action accordingly.
