Tesla chief Elon Musk Says He is Disconnecting From Twitter


Tesla chief Elon Musk said on Friday that he is going off Twitter. Shooting a tweet scrutinizing the ‘benefit of Twitter’, he said he is disconnecting from the Twitter perhaps in favour of popular news and discussion platform Reddit.

“Not secure with great of Twitter,” Musk told his in excess of 29 million followers in a progression of quick fire tweets. “Reddit still appears to be great. Going disconnected,” Musk wrote.



Musk’s tweets had got him in a tough situation with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) which blamed him for misdirecting financial specialists on the stage. In February 2018 he posted that Tesla would make 500,000 vehicles in 2019 up from the 400,000 that the company had assessed up to that point, an evident increment on a benchmark attached to productivity, which inspired a reproach from the SEC.

In a different Twitter incidentthe next August, Musk claimed on the stage that he had tied down financing to take Tesla private, which was immediately prematurely ended, driving the SEC to blame him for cheating investors. The SEC hence expected Musk to step down as chairman and pay USD 20 million to settle charges over the issue.
