Merry Christmas to all. This is vacation time on Christmas Eve. All you want is a good Christmas movie with a happy ending, full of Christmas spirit and morals. This is one of those movies that for me is at the top of my list of a must-see every year during the holidays. I think there is something special about the movies that you wait all year to see and its impact grows more and more on you. Here are some perennial Christmas movies that the whole family can enjoy together.

1.  Jingle All The Way

Jingle All the Way is a family comedy film directed by Brian Levant. It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad. this movie and I think this movie is a bit “underrated” to be honest. Also, when I saw him as a kid, I really wanted to get one of those Turbo Man action figures. The movie was written by Randy Kornfield.

2. The Polar Express

The Polar Express features Tom Hanks in an animated adventure based on Chris Van Allsburg’s children’s book. The film tells the story of a boy who, on Christmas Eve, sees a mysterious train bound for the North Pole stop in front of his window and is invited up by its driver.

3. Love Actually

Love Actually, which follows the love stories of nearly a dozen couples during the holiday season, has quickly become part of the classic canon of holiday movies. The movie Love Actually is written and directed by Richard Curtis. stars Keira Knightley, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Liam Neeson, Laura Linney, Colin Firth, and others.

4. Elf

Elf is a Christmas comedy film directed by Jon Favreau and starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Zooey Deschanel, Mary Steenburgen, Daniel Tay, and others. This film was released in 2003, its story of a human male raised as an elf making his way through New York City has quickly become a Christmas classic. The film centers on Buddy, a human who was adopted and raised by Santa’s elves.

5. Home Alone

Home Alone is a Christmas family comedy film directed by Chris Columbus. It stars Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, and Catherine O’Hara. Macaulay Culkin delivers one of the best child actor performances ever, and this movie has a pretty strong cast overall. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are funny in this movie and the story is pretty cute too.

6. A Christmas Story

A Christmas Story is a Christmas comedy film directed by Bob Clark and based on the semi-fiction by Jean Shepherd. This movie is one of the best Christmas movies of all time; it’s one of the best movies overall. The entire cast is hilarious and it’s a movie for both kids and adults.

7. The Christmas Chronicles

The Christmas Chronicles is a Christmas comedy film directed by Clay Kaytis. It features Kurt Russell, Judah Lewis, Darby Camp, Lamorne Morris, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Oliver Hudson.The story of sister and brother, Kate and Teddy Pierce, whose Christmas Eve plan to capture Santa Claus on camera becomes an unexpected journey that most children can only dream of.
