Lauren Schmidt Hissrich , showrunner of The Witcher, has promised that fans of Geralt’s saga in the books will really enjoy the third season of the series.

Lauren made a post on her official Instagram account to promote the new spin-off series of The Witcher, Blood Origin . Many fans, still outraged by recent series news, were heavily critical of the show; the artist responded to some of the comments, trying to defend her work and promising that the next episodes will be better:

“All I can say is: I really heard you. And season three will clearly showcase this shift back to the books, following Sapowski’s incredible character journeys with our protagonists. I’m really excited for people to see this and feel heard.”

The showrunner also assured that much of what viewers of the series have been waiting for will finally be revealed in the third season:

“We’ll also answer a lot of questions left over from the first two seasons, Cahir’s journey, the introduction of Scoia’tael, and how our families come back together. I also think season three will calm a lot of the speculation about what’s going on right now. I wish you could see all of this for yesterday!”

A little over a month ago, the red N platform announced to the public that Henry Cavill would only live Geralt for one more season and that, from the fourth, he would be replaced by Liam Hemsworth . The reasons for the change were not disclosed.

The first two seasons of The Witcher are available to stream in full through Netflix .
