Actor Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid in Hollywood’s most popular movie franchise ‘Harry Potter’, has died. He was 72 years old. Coltrane’s agent, Belinda Wright, confirmed in her statement that she breathed her last at a hospital in Scotland on Friday. However, he has not given the reason for his death.
Robbie Coltrane gained recognition after playing a detective (crime solving psychologist) in the popular 1990 series ‘Cracker’. The show ran for three years and earned Coltrane a British Academy Television Award for it. Between 2001 and 2011, he played Hagrid in all 8 films of the Harry Potter franchise.
Belinda Wright described Robbie Coltrane as a wonderful actor in her statement. “Apart from being an amazing actor, he was forensically intelligent and a wonderfully funny person. I am proud to have worked as an agent for him for 40 years. He will be greatly missed,” he added. Belinda Wright also said in her statement that Coltrane is survived by sister Annie Ray, ex-wife Rohanna Gammel and their children Spencer and Alice.

So deep, Power and talent.” Further, he has told that he made his first TV show ‘Alfresco’ at that time. He wrote, “Goodbye old comrade. You will be greatly missed.”
