Vettaikaaran director Babu Sivan dies at 54

Southern filmmaker Babu Sivan, who directed Vettaikaraan Vijay in 2009, died in Chennai of kidney failure. He is 54 years old.

According to reports, Babu Sivan is suffering from liver and kidney failure. On Sundays, the two daughters write the NEET exam and they are accompanied by their mother. When they reached home, they found Babu Sivan unconscious. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital.

The filmmaker had been out of work for the past two years and the family was struggling financially. The doctors who treated Babu Sivan suggested dialysis because his kidney function was extremely poor. He succumbed to the disease and took his last breath on Monday.

In the news of Babu Sivan’s death, many fans and actors took to Twitter to send their condolences. Actor Vijay Antony mentioned how sad it was to make him.“I am deeply saddened and shocked about the sudden demise of Vettaikaaran director Babu Sivan. He was a very simple man who gave me complete freedom to execute my ideas in Vettaikaaran. Condolences and strength to his family and friends,” Vijay Antony tweeted.

 

Babu Sivan made his directorial debut with Vettaikaaran in 2009. The Vijay star was a huge box office hit.
