On two years of URI: The Surgical Strike turns, Vicky Kaushal revealed the first look at The Immortal Ashwatthama, her upcoming collaboration with Aditya Dhar. Vicky Kaushal took to social media to share the first posters for her upcoming sci-fi movie The Immortal Ashwatthama.
Ashwatthama, which is futuristic science fiction, is based on a character from the Mahabharata chapter. Vicky shared two different posters. At first, we see them holding a lightning weapon in their hand while standing on a large hand. With long flowing locks and buildings around, the actor channeled his superhero avatar and left fans intrigued by his appearance. In the second poster, we see Vicky’s character standing in front of a large idol of Lord Shiva and holding his sword where lightning strikes.
Vicky Kaushal shared the first poster for The Immortal Ashwatthama. He wrote, “Another one!!! On the 2nd anniversary of URI-The Surgical Strike, the team gives you a glimpse into the world of #TheImmortalAshwatthama. Cannot wait to get onto this journey with the dream team of @adityadharfilms #RonnieScrewvala @rsvpmovies @soniyeah22 (sic).”
The trilogy has its roots in the Mahabharata and will see Vicky Kaushal in a mythological character of Ashvatthama, the son of Pandavs and the teacher of Kauravas Dronacharya, who received the blessing of immortality.
Aside from the newly announced movie, Vicky also has Sardar Uddham Singh in the works. The actor will be seen in the lead role in the film. The film’s revolutionary freedom fighter is best known for murdering Michael O’Dwyer in London to get revenge for the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar.
The Immortal Ashwatthama is expected to release in 2022.
