Yellowjackets will feature actress Nicole Maines in its second season. The artist, who made history as the interpreter of the first transgender heroine on American TV when she was cast to live Dreamer in Supergirl (2015-2021), will play Lisa, partner of Lottie (Simone Kessell) who also struggles with past trauma.
According to Variety , the cast of Yellowjackets will also have two other novelties: Nia Sondaya (from Bel-Air ) will replace Keeya King as the young Akilah. François Arnaud (Midnight, Texas) will play Paul, a New York writer who has a secret relationship with assistant coach Ben Scott (Steven Krueger).
The three join other additions to the series such as Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings trilogy). The returning cast from the first season features Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger and Warren Kole.
The second season of Yellowjackets premieres on March 24th. The series was renewed for a third year even before the premiere of the second.
